Direct Support Professional
Hello! Hola!
My name is Ingrid and I am a people person. I am originally from South America, Chile, but have been in the U.S for 25 years. One of my favorite things about being here in the US is the diversity of culture and all that people have to offer. I am always learning something new. I enjoy very much interacting with all types of people and animals everywhere I go and everywhere I am. I love to talk and learn from people of all ages; I think everyone has something to offer. Some skills and hobbies I have are cooking, dancing, gardening, and playing games with my two sons, ages 13 and 15, including basketball, ping pong, and big time chess.
I was medical assistant for 5 years where I served the community clinic in Vancouver, Washington, where I assisted the doctors in the minor system and provided a smooth transition of care between doctors and staff. I then transitioned to independent care giving where I supported an individual for 18 years with everything you could imagine. Some things like gardening, cooking, bathing, laundry, house cleaning, as well as doctors appointments, community integration with movies, concerts, and plays like The Sound of Music at the Keller Auditorium—helping her to not feel limited in her life experiences.
I am passionate about providing a quality of life where they feel understood and valued as an individual to help and promote a holistic experience of life. I value the time spent with the people I care for because they give me a sense of accomplishment when I see them progress towards their goals. I can’t wait to help you find the best possible way of experiencing your beautiful life! Can’t wait to talk!
