Jessie

Hello! I’m J. Banks I am a father, Marine and someone who understands the importance of being heard. I love working with people and all the opportunities it presents to me.

I have a wide variety of interests; I am always interested in expanding and getting out of my comfort zone. I love the outdoors and always look for an excuse to be outside. I enjoy sports, hiking, walking downtown Portland on a beautiful day. I love music of all kinds and enjoy outdoor concerts and festivals during the spring and summer months. I also enjoy cooking, indoors or outdoors on a grill or smoker.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies, I am fluent in both English and Spanish and have a long history of working with under reprosented people.  I have worked with younger individuals in various roles for many years, from juvenile facilities to coaching and teaching roles. I have also supported and cared for older adults.

I look forward to working with ARISE and seeing what adventures are on the horizon!
