Amanda (she/her/hers)

Hi there! I am Amanda, a Midwest transplant to the PNW since 2017.

I am a Mother of four and an Auntie to many! I was born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, homeplace of John Cougar Mellencamp & Axel Rose for those of you who have a flair for music!

Speaking of music… I haven’t been to many concerts however; I’ve had countless silent discos by myself. Yes, there is an app for that!

My hobbies & interests are just as wide as the great outdoors, especially if it involves watersports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, backpacking, camping, you get the idea. When I can’t be outside exploring the surroundings, I do find ways to keep myself busy at home with baking, gardening, painting, singing, dancing, self-talks, and finding a new way to consolidate my belongings.

Prior to joining the team here at ARISE, I had been part of a Non-profit that supports, empowers & educates women of other cultures.  One of the projects that I had started shortly after my time there was the Free Women’s Clothing Closet in downtown Oregon City. What was supposed to have been a one day event turned into a weekly opportunity to build connections with different agencies & individuals in our community who were interested in helping the women of Clackamas County rebuild their lives as they transitioned into new stages of life.  This was a wonderful way to remind women of their worth while also helping them find new ways to express themselves through clothing style and choice.

I am excited to be part of the ARISE team & I look forward to playing a role in motivating, encouraging & empowering others to flourish into their most authentic selves, while offering the knowledge & skillset that I have acquired during my years as a mother & homemaker.

I look forward to getting to know you all better and creating lasting memories!
