Marty

Hi. My name is Marty. I was born in Minnesota but lived most of my life in Oregon, where I received most of my education. I have visited Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. I love the culture and the food but have not found any of those that are more beautiful than right here in the Pacific Northwest. I have had a variety of work experiences that added to my skillset. These include cooking, baking, administration and documentation development.

I love supporting charities that help change people’s lives. Two of my favorites are Elijah Streams and Run4hope. Elijah Streams helps build water wells in foreign countries so people have safe drinking water. Run4hope helps individuals with addiction to get a new start in life.

My interests and hobbies are coin collecting, gardening, tropical fish breeding, fishing and camping. I also have 6 chickens that I keep for eggs but they have become like pets since I gave them all names. I have many flowers and several fruit trees and raise vegetables for food. I am excited to meet new people and really excited to be working with ARISe Mentors and look forward to meeting new individuals who want to reach their goals and have fun doing it.
